What we collect
Cloa collects the data you provide through conversations, voice calls, and connected integrations. This includes message content, voice transcripts, calendar events, and other data from services you explicitly connect. We also collect basic product analytics (via PostHog) such as screen views and feature usage to improve the service. We never analyze or store your conversation content for analytics purposes.
How we use your data
Your data is used to power Cloa’s memory, actions, and proactive features, the things that make it useful. Conversation history builds your long-term memory. Connected service data enables Cloa to act on your behalf (scheduling, messaging, etc.). We never sell your data to third parties or use it to train models for other users.
Integration permissions
Every integration (Calendar, Gmail, Notion, Slack, Telegram, etc.) uses OAuth-based authentication. You control the permission level for each service individually: off, confirm before acting, or full auto. You can change or revoke access at any time from the app settings. Cloa only accesses what you explicitly allow.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. Conversations and memory are encrypted at rest. Voice calls are processed in real-time and transcripts are stored with the same encryption as text messages. We use industry-standard security practices including TLS for data in transit.
Data retention
Your conversation history and memory persist as long as your account is active, that’s the point of persistent memory. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. You can also selectively delete specific memories or conversation threads at any time.
Third-party services
Cloa uses third-party AI models for language understanding and generation. Your conversations may be processed by these providers under strict data processing agreements. We do not share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or delete your account at any time. For EU residents, you have rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to be forgotten. Contact us at [email protected] for any data requests.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Cloa evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
