Common Issues

App Won't Load or Crashes

Probable cause: Outdated app version or temporary glitch.

Fix:

  1. Force-close the Cloa app
  2. Check for updates in the App Store or Google Play
  3. Update if available, then reopen
  4. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app (your account and data are safe)

Messages Not Sending

Probable cause: Network issue or temporary server connection problem.

Fix:

  1. Check your internet connection (try opening a website)
  2. Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data
  3. Close and reopen the app
  4. Try sending your message again

Morning Briefing Not Appearing

Probable cause: No integrations connected, or briefing time not configured.

Fix:

  1. Verify you have at least one integration connected (calendar or email)
  2. Check your briefing time in MenuSettingsBriefing
  3. Make sure notifications are enabled for Cloa
  4. Ask Cloa directly: "What's my briefing for today?"

Automations Not Triggering

Probable cause: Automation is paused, or the trigger conditions haven't been met.

Fix:

  1. Go to MenuAutomations
  2. Check that the automation is enabled (not paused)
  3. Verify the trigger schedule is correct
  4. Check that required integrations are still connected

Memory Seems Incorrect

Probable cause: Cloa may have extracted something you said casually or hypothetically.

Fix:

  1. Ask Cloa: "What do you know about me?"
  2. Identify the incorrect memory
  3. Tell Cloa: "Forget that [incorrect fact]"
  4. Or delete it manually in MenuMemory
