Troubleshooting
Integration Issues
"Connection Failed"
Probable cause: OAuth authorization expired or was revoked.
Fix:
- Tap Menu → Integrations
- Tap the affected integration
- Tap Disconnect
- Tap the integration again and sign in to reconnect
- Grant the requested permissions
OAuth tokens can expire over time. Reconnecting generates a fresh token.
"Permission Denied"
Probable cause: The integration's permission level is set to Off, or the specific action requires a higher permission.
Fix:
- Tap Menu → Integrations
- Tap the affected integration
- Check that the permission level is set to Confirm or Full Auto
- Try your request again
Learn more about permission levels in Understanding Permissions.
Integration Not Responding
Probable cause: The external service may be experiencing an outage, or your token has expired.
Fix:
- Check if the service is working (try opening it directly)
- If the service is up, disconnect and reconnect the integration in Cloa
- If the service is down, wait and try again later
Data Not Syncing
Probable cause: Stale cache or token refresh failure.
Fix:
- Close and reopen the Cloa app
- If data is still stale, disconnect and reconnect the integration
- Verify the integration has the correct permissions on the service side
General Reconnection Steps
For any integration issue, this process resolves most problems:
- Tap Menu → Integrations
- Tap the affected integration → Disconnect
- Wait a few seconds
- Tap the integration again → sign in and reconnect
- Test by asking Cloa to use the integration
